Branded Email Address

You can no longer send email from Gold Star Pro (or any email marketing platform) with a FREE email account (like Gmail, Yahoo or similar).

You MUST have an email address that uses your domain, for example [email protected] instead of [email protected]

Do You Need a Domain?

If yes, we use and recommend Cloudflare. Cloudflare offer free domain hosting and link directly with Gold Star Pro making it easy for you to create new domains within GSP.

Already have a Domain?

If you already have a domain, we use and recommend Google Workspace as an email service. Using Google Workspace you can connect your domain and set up an email account. Plus, it fully integrates with Gold Star Pro which means emails received into your Google Workspace account appear in GSP and vice versa. Emails sent also appear.

Is your Branded Email Address used in your Profile?

When sending emails from your User Account it is important that a branded email address is used. Please go to Settings > My Profile > Email and check.

Add a Branded Email to your Profile in Gold Star Pro

To check if your branded email address is in your profile, within GSP go to Settings > My Profile > Email

Is a Branded Email Address used in Business Info?

When sending emails from your Business Account it is important that a branded email address is used. Please go to Settings > Business Info > Business Email and check.

To check if a branded email address is in your Business Information, within GSP go to Settings > Business Info > Business Email

Do you have a low Spam Rate?

With the new regulations your spam rate ideally needs to be below 0.1% - you can check this in your Email Dashboard from the main menu of GSP.

Lower your Spam Score

It is important that your Spam Score stay below 0.1% - if it goes above this deliverability will be impacted. Above 0.3% emails will begin to fail or be redirected to Spam.

Make sure you’re sending to people that have asked to receive your emails. Just like you wouldn't want a stranger in your home without permission, these changes are taking action against people who are sending without permission.

Are you using a Branded Sender Domain/Pathway with GSP?

Because you are using an email marketing platform, Google & Yahoo require you to have a Branded Sender Domain ie reply.yourdomain.com.

You can see your current Sender Domain/Pathway at Settings > Email Services

Have you requested to set up a Branded Sender Domain/Pathway?

To start the process you need to request a Custom Sender/Domain Pathway. You can do that here.

To continue sending emails you MUST request and use a Branded Sender Domain/Pathway

If you are a Bulk Sender, Google and Yahoo now require that your email address domain (ie [email protected]) matches your sender pathway (ie. reply.usegoldstar.com). Without this your emails will be redirected to spam or fail to send altogether.

To start the process you need to request a Custom Sender/Domain Pathway. You can do that here.

Have you tested your DMARC Policy and passed?

Under the new email rules from Google and Yahoo, when you send emails, the sender pathway you use is required to have DMARC set up. DMARC helps email providers recognize your emails as legitimate and not spam or fake emails.

TEST YOUR DMARC POLICY

Visit DMARCIAN and test if your sender domain/pathway has a DMARC policy. To check this enter the root domain. For example, if your sender domain/pathway is reply.yourdomain.com, you should enter yourdomain.com

Add your DMARC record within your Domain Provider Account

You MUST have a DMARC Policy in place on your domain. Without this your emails will fail. To do this, log in to your Domain Provider Account and add the following DNS record:

Type: TXT

Hostname: _dmarc

Value: v=DMARC1; p=none
